Interactive election results from around the country
As Dan Sinker put it so eloquently this morning, “Election season is the Super Bowl for news-application teams.”
MinnPost news coder extraordinaire Alan Palazzolo put together a round-up of interactive election results apps by newsrooms from across the country.
And be sure to checkout MinnPost’s own app, where we will be displaying live Minnesota election results starting at 8 PM Central.
What awesome election apps have you found?

We built the app responsively, so you can easily check returns when you’re out on the town during the night.
Real results will start rolling in at 8 p.m. tomorrow.
Election mania at MinnPost HQ!
We just launched our election app all about the Minnesota Legislature.
Use the tool to explore a number of scenarios, get detailed information about each Senate and House race, or build your own election results.
If Pawlenty gets the nod – and at the moment I don’t doubt that he is among the top two or three possibilities – the country will be introduced to his locally famous slogan that the party needs “Sam’s Club Republicans” as well as country club Republicans.
We’ve mapped the donations in each ZIP code in the state. The results show an interesting picture of the community clusters in Minnesota.
“Michele Bachmann, meanwhile, was lost in the fray. The Minnesota Congresswoman, who’s seen her support dwindle since her Iowa straw poll victory six weeks ago, fielded only half a dozen questions over the course of the two-hour debate, at one point interrupting the moderators to make a point after a long period of silence.”
