Conservative forces normally hostile to government subsidies have been strangely silent as Republican areas in the southern and western suburbs benefit disproportionally.
The issue? Subsidies for Southwest Transit, Minnesota Valley Transit vs Metro Transit. It turns out that the coach buses bringing people in from the burbs receive more tax subsidies than inner-city buses. More than $1 per passenger more.
